Inaugural Meeting of China Paper Association’s Offset Printing Paper Working Committee Successfully Concluded

To promote the high-quality development of the paper industry, in accordance with the work plan of the China Paper Association, the inaugural meeting of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee was successfully held in Beijing on August 25, 2025. Zhao Wei, Chairman of the China Paper Association, along with leaders and representatives from major domestic offset printing paper producers, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Chairman Zhao Wei.  

The meeting reviewed and approved the *Working Regulations of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee of the China Paper Association* and the *List of Chair, Vice-Chair, and Member Units of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee*. Zhong Tianqi, Vice Chairman of the China Paper Association and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Paper Investment Co., Ltd., was elected as the first Chair of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee. Representatives from ten companies, including Sun Paper, Huatai Paper, Chenming Paper,金光集团 (APP), Nine Dragons Paper, Asia Symbol, Yueyang Paper, Dahe Paper, Jianghe Paper, and Henan Tianbang, were elected as Vice Chairs. The Secretariat of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee will be established under the China Paper Association, with Guo Caiyun, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Paper Association, serving as Secretary-General.  

In his acceptance speech, Zhong Tianqi stated that the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee will, under the guidance of the China Paper Association, fully leverage its role as a communication bridge, strengthen service awareness, actively fulfill its responsibilities, enhance industry governance capabilities, promote self-discipline, standardize industry practices, drive healthy development, and improve the overall competitiveness of the industry, contributing to the high-quality development of the offset printing paper sector.  

During the meeting, attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on industry development, focusing on key issues such as risk prevention and control, market self-discipline, and the establishment of a fair competitive environment. Multiple key consensuses were reached, including initiatives to eliminate low-quality, irrational “involutionary” competition, ensure product quality, establish a fair and orderly competition mechanism, and jointly build a new industrial ecosystem conducive to high-quality development.  

In his address, Zhao Wei, Chairman of the China Paper Association, emphasized that the establishment of the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee marks a significant milestone for the industry in addressing challenges and standardizing development. He urged the Committee to adhere to the principles of “openness, sharing, coordination, and service” and focus on three key tasks: first, building a bridge for communication between the government and enterprises to reflect industry demands; second, strengthening industry self-discipline to maintain a fair competitive environment; and third, deepening collaborative development to jointly pioneer a new chapter of healthy and steady growth for the offset printing paper industry.  

Moving forward, the Offset Printing Paper Working Committee of the China Paper Association will collaborate with offset printing paper producers and related enterprises to address industry challenges and promote the sustained and high-quality development of the offset printing paper sector.
